Footprint Charts as Overnight Preparation, Not Intraday Decoration

A practical prep routine that uses footprint imbalance and unfinished auctions to set levels before the open.

Footprint charts earn their keep the night before the session, when you are not yet competing with the open. Mark stacked imbalances that remain unfinished, note where delta diverged from price into the close, and write one sentence about what would confirm continuation versus repair.

During the live session, the footprint becomes a reference, not a second screen to stare at. If price revisits an unfinished auction and aggressive flow arrives in the direction that would complete it, you already have a plan. If flow arrives the other way, you already know the idea is invalid.

We ask Intensive participants to prepare only five levels. More than that turns preparation into decoration. Five levels with a clear order-flow confirmation rule beat a crowded chart that invites hesitation when the book moves.
